Testimonials

Dylan Maddix quickly assessed my ensembles needs, build a working rapport, and capture their attention throughout the clinic. He quickly adapts to the musical needs and reinforces the foundation of the ensemble. You and your students will enjoy working with Mr. Maddix as we surely did during our clinic.

Watching Dylan work with the Emily Carr S.S. Junior and Senior bands was a pleasure. Despite the short notice he was given in working with our bands, he came in with incredible energy and expertise. He had a keen ear and an intricate depth of knowledge that was required to bring our senior ensemble to a better performance standard. His enthusiasm and and encouragement with the junior band was infectious. All of our students loved learning from Dylan to the point that “can Dylan come back next year?” was the quote of the day. I highly recommend Dylan Maddix to anyone looking for a clinician that encourages students to push their musical skills and knows how to get fantastic musical results.

A great thanks to Dylan Maddix who took the time and energy to come and help out my young musicians.  He was quick and clear in his communication, organized and prepared for the session.  He was funny, enthusiastic and flexible with my students.  He gave them some new, age appropriate strategies that will make them better musicians in the future.  Dylan was a great asset to my ensemble's preparation for our festival presentation.
